As summer turns into autumn, thousands of young puffins crash-land on the streets of the small town of Heimaey in the Westman Islands. Every night the locals go out in search for the pufflings. Picking them up and releasing them at sea has become kind of a folk sport on the island off the south coast of Iceland.
Photographed in August 2020, published in NORR magazine and 365 magazine by Naturkompaniet.
